At a glance
General and family dentistry covers the everyday care most people need: checkups, cleanings, fillings, crowns, gum care, dentures and help when something breaks. We are a family practice: we see children from about age 1, adults and seniors, and treat most problems for every age right here in our office. See all our services.
We’re open Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, 9am–3pm, so the whole family can come in on a Saturday. We also see same-day emergencies during those hours; call first.

What do you do for children?
We are a family practice, and we see children from age 1, when the first tooth comes in. Checkups, cleanings, fluoride and sealants are done here, and so are fillings and extractions, so your child can see the same dentists as the rest of the family.
We use local anesthetic only. If a child needs to be sedated for treatment, we refer you to a pediatric dentist. We accept Texas Medicaid/CHIP for children through DentaQuest, MCNA and UHC Dental; our guide Does Richmond Dental Care accept Medicaid? explains the details.
What do you do for adults and older adults?
For adults we do the full range of general care in-office, from cleanings and gum treatment to root canals, crowns, bridges, single implants and full or partial dentures. For older adults, we pay extra attention to dry mouth, root decay and denture fit. We don’t place braces; for braces we refer you to an orthodontist. If you’re wearing clear aligners, see our aligner care guide.
Saturday hours and same-day emergencies
We’re open Saturdays, 9am–3pm, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday, so kids don’t have to miss school and parents don’t have to miss work. See our Saturday dentist page.
If anyone in the family has a toothache, a broken tooth or swelling, call us. Same-day emergency visits during office hours are one of the main reasons new patients come to us, for adults and children alike. Call first so we can fit you in; see emergency dental care.
How do insurance and payment work?
We accept most PPO plans (benefits checked before your visit), Medicare Advantage plans with dental benefits and children’s Medicaid/CHIP. We are not in network for adult Medicaid (more in our FAQ). New patient visits start at $49, and our published prices list the rest. See insurance. We accept Cherry, Sunbit and CareCredit for patient financing (see financing options), and you can use an FSA or HSA card for dental treatment.
