Why do some prices say “starting at”?
The cost of a root canal depends mostly on the tooth. Front teeth usually have one canal, while molars have several, which takes more time. The dentist checks the tooth and X-rays and gives you the exact price before starting. Most teeth that have a root canal also need a crown afterward. Crown, bridge and denture prices are starting prices too, because the tooth, the lab work and any buildup needed can change the cost. You get the exact price in writing first.
What about treatments not listed here?
Deep cleanings, extractions, fillings, whitening, veneers, implants, night guards and other treatment are priced after an exam, because the cost depends on what you need. You get a written estimate before any treatment begins. Things that change the cost include:
- How many teeth or areas are involved
- How complex the tooth is (for example, a molar or a tooth with a curved root)
- Lab work, such as for crowns, bridges, dentures and night guards
- Whether other treatment needs to come first, such as treating gum disease
How do insurance and financing work with these prices?
The prices above are self-pay prices. If you have a PPO or Medicare Advantage plan with dental benefits, we check your coverage before your visit and your estimate shows what insurance is expected to pay. We’re in network with dental PPO plans from MetLife, Cigna, Delta Dental, UnitedHealthcare, Principal, Sun Life, Guardian, Best Life and Ameritas. See insurance we accept for details.
We accept Cherry, Sunbit and CareCredit for patient financing (see financing options), and you can use an FSA or HSA card for dental treatment. Financing approval and terms are set by each lender, not by our office.
